A Living Tribute...A Heritage Tree is a great way to commemorate a loved one, special event, or group. Your gift will provide a unique opportunity to create a living legacy in one of our beautiful parks or along a prized greenway trail for all patrons to enjoy.

Your contribution to the Community Heritage Program will bring enjoyment and beauty to our parks and greenway corridors for citizens, visitors, and future generations to enjoy. Anyone can participate and be a part of a unique dedication. Contributions are tax deductible.

For optimal tree growth & survival, tree planting season occurs during the dormant months of December through March.

Those interested in memorializing a loved one with a tree will complete the brochure on the link above with details on preferred tree location. This site is used for payment of the fee. Trees available:

Ornamental Trees (5'-6' height) - Cocksbur Hawthorn, Flowering Dogwood, Paw Paw, Downy Serviceberry, Sourwood, Sweetbay Magnolia, Yellowwood.

Shade Trees (1.5"-2" caliber) - American Linden, Bald Cypress, Blackgum, Bur Oak, Kentucky Coffeetree, Post Oak, River Birch, Southern Red Oak, Tulip Poplar, White Pine.
